So Very Grateful

I am so very blessed. I love doing this exercise weekly because it seems to be all too easy to forget how very blessed I am during the the day-to-day grind of life.

1.) God's Grace is Enough: I am in awe and total wonder that I don't have to try to be "good enough" to receive salvation from my God above. There is no way, even on my best days, that I could ever been good enough to deserve the blessings of an eternity with the Almight Creator of all things. I am so thankful that Jesus' blood is so powerful that it has poured down the cross and covered the entire earth for 2000 years. That's power. That's grace. That's love.

2.) Companionship of My Husband: Chip is out of town this week for work. There are times that I want some "me time" but having him away for six days is enough to remind how wonderful it is to have him around and how much I enjoy his company...even just being in the same room with one another.

3.) A Supportive Christian Family: When I talked to my brother on the phone Monday and told him about my "mission," he immediately told me that not only would he be praying for me, but would get other people on it as well. It's nice to know that you have support like that from anyone...especially blood relatives.

4.) A Well Behaved Child: I almost hesitate to write this because I am worried about jinxing myself. =) Seriously, there are times that I get frustrated at Patrick and there are times when he is bad and gets in trouble, but all in all, he is a really great kid. He's (usually) polite, he's funny, he's (most always) agreeable, he thinks we're cool (yeah, he'll grow out of that), he listens most of the time, he loves to be snuggly, he neurotic, he's all together wonderful. He's not a brat. I know all parents love and adore their children, but he really is a good kid, and I am so very thankful for that.

5.) Fellow Christian Bloggers: There are some awesome writers out there. All you need to do is check out my right margin for a small collection of a vast army of Chistian writers who knock my socks off weekly with their insightful, powerful, moving, thoughtful, intriguing, Spirit-filled posts. It's nice to see the body of Christ connecting not only locally, but across the globe. Go check some of them out and feel free to recommend any that you love...I love to visit new sites!

Go over to Sheila's site and tell everyone what you are thankful for!
